· Not fit for Smooth Surfaces - For cleaningsmooth surfaces, abrasive blasting is not fit because of the abrasives.Therefore, you can use soda blasting instead of sand blasting which also a similar procedure for surface preparation but in different ways. 

· Abrasives - The abrasives which are beingused in the sand blasting process are very rough. Therefore, if use that on aregular for particular surface preparation, it would wear away the surface of the particulars. 

· Heat Generation - This process includes theprojection of the particles with high velocity, therefore lots of heat isgenerated during the process that can harm health. 

· Requires Precautions - A lot ofprecautionary is required with this process in order to prevent different typesof hazards. Apart from it, an operator has to cover all his body parts at the time of its process.
